When Does Morning Sickness Start?
If you ask a few people who have undergone morning sickness the question, some would say they started having symptoms as early as the third or fourth week of pregnancy, some others would say that they started getting the uneasy feelings only in the second trimester while even others would say they started showing signs of morning sickness as late as six months into pregnancy! So if you are into your final trimester and have had no morning sickness at all, don’t think you might be one of the lucky ones to have no morning sickness at all. It might get to you anytime. Of course, there also are those who have not known morning sickness at all even over multiple pregnancies.
So, when does morning sickness start? Well, as is evident from the above
discussion, there is, unfortunately, no easy answer to the big question on the
minds of a lot of mothers. We shall attempt to try and find out a vague answer
but all said and done one needs to remember not to worry oneself sore just by
thinking about some impending sickness that might even never pay a visit. After
all, if you are thinking on the lines of ‘when does morning sickness start’,
then you are worrying yourself too much over it. In fact, that itself might
trigger a sickness! So, be careful not to do that.
Having said that, it is a known fact that morning sickness usually makes its
appearance during the early times of pregnancy and goes away by the time you are
halfway through the second trimester. Again, is cannot be stressed enough that
this may not be the case every time. Statistically speaking, on an average,
morning sickness starts at around the 4th – 6th week of pregnancy and persists
till about the 15th – 20th week. Statistics however can be very misleading.
There are even leading statisticians that will tell you that. The best thing to
do is to get prepared for the experience if it ever does affect you at any time.
Just expect the best but be prepared for the worst too!
